Cookies Policy

We use cookies and similar tools across Lumyros application and our website and to improve their performance and enhance your user experience. This policy explains how we do that.
To view or modify your cookie and data processing choices, please check the Settings section in your user account.

1.    WHAT ARE COOKIES?
1.1.    Cookies are small text files consisting of text and numbers which a website may put on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a site or page. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your device`s hard drive.
1.2.    The cookie will help the application, or website, to recognize your device the next time you visit them. Web beacons or other similar files can also do the same thing. We use the term 'cookies' in this policy to refer to all files that collect information in this way.
1.3.    There are many functions cookies serve. For example, they can help us to remember your username and preferences, analyse how well our services are performing, or even allow us to recommend content we believe will be most relevant to you.
1.4.    Certain cookies contain personal information – for example, if you click to “remember me” when logging in, a cookie will store your username. Most cookies won`t collect information that identifies you and will instead collect more general information such as how users arrive at and use our application or website, or a user`s general location.

2.    WHAT SORT OF COOKIES DOES THIS WEBSITE USE?
2.1.    Generally, our cookies perform up to four different functions:
a)    Strictly necessary or Essential cookies. Some cookies are essential for the operation of our application or website. For example, some cookies allow us to identify subscribers and ensure they can access the subscription only pages. If a subscriber opts to disable these cookies, the user will not be able to access all of the content that a subscription entitles them to.
b)    Analytical or Performance Cookies. We utilise other cookies to analyse how our visitors use our application and website and to monitor their performance. This allows us to improve the way our application and website work and to provide a high quality experience by customising our offering and quickly identifying and fixing any issues that arise. These allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around the site. For example, we might use performance cookies to keep track of which services are most popular, which method of linking between services is most effective etc. We might also use these cookies to highlight articles or site services that we think will be of interest to you based on your usage of the application or website.
c)    Functionality Cookies. We use functionality cookies to allow us to recognise you and remember your preferences. For example, cookies save you the trouble of typing in your username every time you access the site, and recall your customisation preferences, such as application and site appearance settings that you may have customised when you log in. We also use functionality cookies to provide you with enhanced services such as allowing you to watch a video online or comment on a blog.
d)    Behaviourally Targeted Advertising Cookies. These cookies record your visit, including the pages you have visited and the links you have followed.  We will use this information to make our application, website and advertising displayed on it more relevant to your interests.  We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose.

3.    DOES ANYONE ELSE USE COOKIES ON THIS WEBSITE
3.1.    Third parties (including, for example, advertising networks and providers of external services such as web traffic analysis services) may also use cookies, over which we have no control. These cookies are likely to be analytical/performance cookies or targeting cookies.
3.2.    Advertisers sometimes use their own cookies to provide you with targeted advertising. For example, advertisers may use a profile they have built on sites that you have previously visited to present you with more relevant advertisements during your visit to this website.
3.3.    We also use or allow third parties to serve cookies that fall into the four categories above. For example, like many companies, we use Google Analytics to help us monitor our website traffic. We may also use third party cookies to help us with market research, revenue tracking, improving site functionality and monitoring compliance with our terms and conditions and copyright policy.

4.    CAN A USER BLOCK COOKIES?
4.1.    As we have explained above, cookies help you to get the most out of our application and website.
4.2.    You may block cookies by activating the setting on your browser which allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our site.
